Great Expectations Childcare

My name is Stef Doyle and last year I had my daughter (Clementine) who is one.  We also have a declawed cat, Sweetie, who is shy and tends to hide from the kids (we have children with cat allergies that haven't had any problems- I do my best to vacuum daily and dust often to keep dander under control). 

Before I found out I was expecting, I was in school to become an elementary teacher. I've always wanted a career with children. 

I'm easy going and a "type b" personality.  It takes a lot to make me angry and I very rarely yell.  I'm very creative and enjoy making things- I'll have your kids playing with play dough, colouring and building "forts" in no time.   I love gardening and in the summer you'll usually find us in the yard playing or digging in the dirt.

I'm not a big fan of "time-outs", I tend to talk things through with kids...I find that most of the time they are mad because they don't feel they have been heard and they feel like they are being treated unfairly.

I try to always be open to new ideas- so if you have anything you want me to try out or something you want done differently, we can give it a try.  I want you to know there is an open door policy here- please come talk to me about anything. 

I also believe we should take care of the earth- so we try to use only natural or biodegradable cleaning products.
